Dr. Vieder attended Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1988. He completed a 4 year residency specializing in Emergency Medicine through Michigan State University and Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan and is currently board certified in Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Vieder is active in physician training and education. He is a clinical professor of medicine for Michigan State University and currently serves as the residency program director for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Botsford Hospital.

Dr. Vieder has had over 15 years of experience with the EMS / 911 system and serves on the Medical Control Authority for both Oakland and Wayne Counties. He also is currently the Chief of Staff at Botsford Hospital in addition to being the Medical Director of Lakes Urgent Care.
